In March 2025, Continest signed a contract and secured its second rescEU tender with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) for the delivery of various equipment and infrastructure solutions.

From this project, we developed a solution that goes beyond its original scope. The ALU CONTAINER represents a new benchmark for the global humanitarian and civil protection sector.

Retains the operational features of the standard CN20 while introducing a lighter aluminium frame

The MSB unit is smaller than the CN20, enabling six containers to be shipped in a single custom-designed 20-foot cargo container

Objective of the MSB Project

As part of the rescEU Shelter Program, MSB entered into a framework agreement to procure foldable container buildings, available in both single and double configurations.

The mission: to provide rapidly deployable, high-quality temporary accommodation for up to 1,000 people across the EU in disaster and crisis situations.

A specially developed 20-foot cargo container allows six foldable units to be stacked and transported together, reducing logistical costs, transport emissions, and environmental impact. This innovation enables humanitarian response that is not only faster and more effective, but also greener and more sustainable.
